For Honor Dev Talks PS4 Pro’s Extra Power: Promises More Details on Characters and Environments

on September 8, 2016 4:56 PM

During the livecast following yesterday’s press conference that brought the announcement of the PS4 pro, For Honor Brand Director Luc Duchaine explained how the team is going to use the power of the console.

Duchaine explained that the PS4 Pro simply means extra power, and that translates into more details on the characters and on the environment. Reflections on the ground, foliage and vegetation are much more detailed.

Character textures involve a lot of different materials since the game includes knights, vikings and samurai bringing different flavors of leather and steel, and the PS4 Pro allows the development team to push an extra level of immersion there as well.

Duchaine also mentioned that for the For Honor team the PS4 means being able to deliver a deeper and more beautiful experience, allowing immersion to reach a new level.
