Following the closure of Michael Schade's previous studio, Fishlabs, where he acted as CEO for its development of various mobile games (such as Galaxy on Fire: Alliances), Schade has since announced that he has a new studio being assembled that is targeting its next projects on Xbox One and PS4.

After Fishlabs' closure last year, Schade has announced his new studio, Rockfish, will be following the work of his previous studio but with an emphasis on potentially developing for next-gen consoles. Schade mentioned in a Q&A with GameIndustry.biz:

"...Now we're completely platform agnostic but of course we're going to stick with high-end, 3D action games. The first project we're doing is most likely going to happen on next-gen console, unfortunately I can't reveal too much about it at this point in time. But hopefully we can announce something around Gamescom."

Currently, the new studio is comprised of 10 developers in collaboration with another (unnamed) studio, with its first project currently underway and seeking to eventually release into crowd funding support later on. Stay tuned for more details on the formation of Rockfish and their upcoming projects for mobile (and next-gen).
