Coming from the pedigree of previously working on Sony-centric titles such as LittleBigPlanetTearaway, and Ratchet & Clank, former designers from those titles now in their own studio, called Foam Sword Games, have banded together and launched a crowdfunding campaign for their first title, Knights and Bikes.

Developer Foam Sword Games announced the launch of its Kickstarter campaign for Knights and Bikes, which is a co-op action adventure title set in the 1980s, with the studio citing inspirations such as E.T.The Goonies, and Earthbound in the process of its creation.

The studio is seeking a fundraising goal of $142, 577 through Kickstarter, with the title already at just over $13.6K (as of this writing) since the project's debut today. Knights and Bikes is currently confirmed at this time for PC, Mac, and Linux, though future updates may also bring release on other platforms depending on the campaign's success.

With the title in development by two designers, Foam Sword calls Knights and Bikes "a very ambitious project," though the team hopes to express that "we will be able to complete Knights and Bikes to the level of our extremely high standards."
