The Elder Scrolls Online, the subscription-based MMO set in the world of the popular Elder Scrolls series is looking to bring in more players. A free play weekend has been announced that will offer full access to the game for a limited amount of time and a serious discount to those who want to stick around.

Starting this Thursday at 3 a.m. EST, players can download the game via Xbox Live or on PC/Mac. Currently, a technical issue is causing the free weekend to be incompatible with the PS4, but a solution is being looked for. The free trial lasts until 3 a.m. EST on Monday, December 14. Players will be able to purchase The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for 60% off during this time as well.

Everyone, including players who already own the game will be able to take advantage of discounts on the game’s Crown packs during this weekend:

  • 1,500 crown packs will be 25% off
  • 3,000 crown packs will be 33% off
  • 5,500 crown packs will be 40% off

The Elder Scrolls Online is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Mac.
