Game Development has Started on PlayStation 4

on October 20, 2011 1:45 PM

According to a source at Develop-online, some first party studios are already making ideas for games that will come out on the PlayStation 4. The website reports that they are at a very early stage in the conception, waiting on the green light from Sony to start full production.

The news of a PlayStation 4 in the works really is not a surprise, but that games are being thought of is kind of surprising. With a rumored release date of end of 2014, that would give the games a 3 year development cycle, enough time to deliver fully polished titles.

The source did not say which first party studios have started working on games, which ones do you think are doing that right now?

Isshak started gaming with the NES, and has owned almost every console since then. He was born in Togo, grew up in Benin, studied in the US and now goes to college in France! You don't get more international than that, and his weird cultural background is reflected in his favorite games, which range from Final Fantasy to Bit Trip Runner to Dead Space to Deus Ex!
