Capcom has given fans of the Ace Attorney series a special treat--we get two gameplay trailers for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies that show off the investigation process as well as what goes on in the courtroom side of things.

Investigating a crime scene looks more intuitive now with more control over the area. I also like the fact that you can switch between different sections in the crime scene a la Investigations. The subject matter was pretty gripping too, since Apollo and Athena were looking into the disappearance (and possible death) of their boss and mentor.

In the second video, we get to see some courtroom antics thanks to the interactions between Apollo, the new prosecutor, Simon Blackquill, and his trusty Hawk, Taka (which means hawk in Japanese). I'm really loving the 3D animations--it looks very smooth but still retains the dramatic animation that Ace Attorney fans love.

It's interesting to note the M rating that Dual Destinies received. Personally I believe it's because of the courtroom explosion in the first trial, since it's reminiscent of terrorist attacks that have occurred before, not to mention the sheer violence of an explosion that size. Both trailers are below (and well as the character model and screenshot of Klavier, who'll be in the game) so tell us what you think about the M rating or the trailers in general.
