Coming off the conclusion of the recent Closed Beta, developer Lightbulb Crew has announced that its free-to-play top-down team shooter Games of Glory, is getting an Open Beta starting on April 25th.

Games of Glory is set to in the distant future, where an emperor seeking to control his intergalactic universe has created The Games of Glory. Clones of great fighters from distant star systems fight in epic arena battles to entertain and appease the public. Faction with warring interest use the games as a means to settle their disputes. Now, the Synarch has called on you to become an intergalactic MVP and fight in the Games of Glory.

Games of Glory is a fast-paced, top-down multiplayer game that combines 15 unique characters, five different classes, and over 50 different weapon options.

The game boasts two different Arenas. One is the Arkashan Arena where 4v4 Dominion Game Mode matches will be played over 15 to 25 minutes. In it, you and your teammates will fight to control victory and credit points in order to lower the enemy forcefield, penetrate their base, and destroy their energy core.

The other Arena is Svandia’s Foundry where 3v3 Superstar Game Mode matches will be held, lasting 8-15 minutes via a series of short 1-2 minute rounds. Each round, one player on each team is randomly designated as Superstar. Each team must fight to kill the enemy Superstar while protecting their own.

No other game modes will ship with the game at launch, but there will be a "training room."

How long the Open Beta will last, is currently unclear. But we do have a new, accompanying, beta announcement trailer you can check out at the bottom of the article.

Games of Glory is set to release sometime later this year on PC and PS4.
