Today at Gamescom, developer Dontnod Entertainment revealed their upcoming action/adventure title Adrift. That isn't necessarily its final name, and the trailer your about to see isn't in-game footage or anything, however you'll have to color me very interested in this one. Why?

For starters, it's naturally set in the future (if you couldn't tell), in Neo-Paris. Paris isn't that common of setting for third-person action/adventure games, as far as I can tell. The premise of the game is that, in the future, anything can be digitized, including human memories. In fact, things have gotten bad enough that memories are actually the currency. It looks and sounds very cyberpunk, and I love it. You get kind of a Deus Ex meets Mass Effect feel to the whole thing, just by looking at the concept video I've stashed after the break.

Adrift will be coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in the latter part of 2012. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more assets on this one down the line. How about you?
