Fans of the Soul Calibur series have been biting their nails, hoping that their own favorite characters would make it into Soul Calibur V. After all, if fifty percent of the characters will be completely new, several SC series staples are indeed on the chopping block. Fans of Tira, Maxi, Voldo and Hilde can breathe their well needed sighs of relief because they've all made the cut. All of them are featured in the enclosed trailer, which was revealed at Gamescom.

There's still no word on my main, Sophitia and I'm pretty sure that my secondary Taki isn't making it in either because the new pink chick Natsu has her move-set. Fans 0f Kilik, Xianghua, Astaroth and numerous other memorable characters from the SC series have to keep holding that breath for now. Hit the break for the trailer. SCV is due on HD consoles early next year.
