Following the announcement of the return of Killer Instinct back at this year’s E3, Microsoft has announced more details regarding its upcoming revival of the series at Gamescom in Germany, where a playable demo is available with four of the game’s six launch characters.

Originally announced as a free-to-play game available for Xbox One owners, the game will also release in a variety of paid versions that will bundle together characters and stages, aside from the various individual purchases that players can make for specific characters or levels.

Microsoft has revealed that Killer Instinct will be available in two different paid versions:

– The Combo Breaker Bundle ($19.99): comes with six launch characters and also features all stages, and a training mode.

– The Ultra Combo Bundle ($39.99): features the six launch characters, two DLC characters after the game’s launch, additional stages and levels, and also has the original N64 classic-Killer Instinct.

Killer Instinct will release as a launch title on Xbox One later this year.
