It's been a little while since we last got a look at InXile Entertainment, Obsidian Entertainment and Deep Silver's Wasteland 2, but today we've got new screenshots that show off the "Desert Rangers" during gameplay exploring a desert environment, and concept art of a fearsome scorpion tank,  all of which can be seen below.

Wasteland 2 is the first official sequel to Wasteland (with the Fallout series as a spiritual successor), and takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States, where a company of U.S. Army Engineers survived a nuclear holocaust and are now trying to survive the desert. The game allows players to build up a highly customizable team for turn-based, party-based tactical role-playing mechanics, and will tasks players with interacting with non-playable characters who all have their own agendas and personalities, just like the members of the player's team.

Wastelands 2 was successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign after only two days: for a closer look at the game's mechanics, check out InXile's  gameplay footage; for a closer look at other news on Wasteland and InXile's other franchise, Torment, check out our InXile news.
