Just when you thought that only Japan receives awesome PlayStation color variants, Sony decides to unveil two new colors in the US in the same month. Following last week's announcement of the white (extra) slim PS3 making its way to shelves in the US, this morning Sony has confirmed a Garnet Red PS3 is also slated to hit retail.

The Garnet Red PS3, which is "boldly colored in recognition of Kratos", will be part of the God of War Ascension Legacy Bundle. The whole package features the Garnet Red Ps3, God of War: Ascension and all 5 previous games in the God of War franchise (God of War, God of War II, God of War III, God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta). Also, the Garnet Red PS3 will come loaded to the brim with storage as it features a 500GB HDD.

The bundle is due to hit stores day and date with the release of God of War: Ascension on March 12th, 2013 and with an MSRP of $349.
