There aren't too many medieval city-builders these days that aren't sleazily advertised with near-naked women on the sidebars of every website ever. Ubisoft plans to change that soon with Anno Online, a browser-based game that allows players to build a medieval city from the ground-up. The trailer displays towns that are fairly realistic structurally: hamlets centered around a church, with farmland extending beyond the village proper.

Also included is a glimpse at port-based gameplay, which presumably will be key to success in Anno Online. If you're looking for a nice, well-built browser game, this one might be for you. See for yourself in the video linked below.
