The recently announced, Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, made an appearance at Electronic Arts’ press conference yesterday as the game that opened their show. The series looks to be deviating almost completely from Army of Two: The 40th Day, an iteration in the series that many felt departed from what made the first game memorable.

The trailer depicts the usually balance of dialogue, gunplay, brutality, and outright insanity that we have come to expect from our first-person shooters these days. Not much is known about the plot of the game, other than it takes place in Mexico at the heart of the drug wars, with the main antagonists being the Mexican drug cartels (i.e. The Devil’s Cartel).

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel was officially announced for a March 2013 release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A limited edition of the game has also been confirmed. You can check out the trailer below.
