If you are not a member of PlayStation Plus, now would be a good time to start – or rather, within the next couple of weeks. During their conference at Gamescom today, Sony announced a slew of perks and news regarding their premium service. Gamers who are not members of PS Plus will be able to subscribe at a 25% discount starting on September 5th, 2012; the promotion is set to run for two weeks.

One of the best perks about the service is the ability to download and play complete games for free. Sony revealed that one of this generation’s classics, Red Dead Redemption, will be added to PS Plus along with five unannounced titles to follow in the future.

Finally, it was announced that the PS Vita will be receiving PS Plus support, and cloud storage for game saves will be increased from 150mb to 1GB. I cannot think of a reason to dislike PS Plus, can you?
