GC 2012: World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Cinematic Trailer is Kung Fu Panda With Orcs and Humans

Today the cinematic trailer of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria debuted at Gamescom, true to the usual quality standard of Blizzard cinematics.

The trailer started in a quite serious way, with an Orc and a Human fighting for survival after a shipwreck, then Po the Panda-ren appears on the scene and hilarity ensues. Even those that scoff at the comparison with Kung Fu Panda can’t avoid admitting a strong resemblance between the movements of the Pandaren in this cinematic trailer and the way Po moves in the movie.

Mind you, the comparison with Kung Fu Panda, while hilarius and a little tongue-in-cheek, is definitely not a negative one. Just like DreamWorks, Blizzard really knows how to do good animation. They may be a little short on ideas lately, but their cinematics are top notch. Enjoy this one below.
