Gearbox revealed today that Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel and the Handsome Collection will be receiving major updates to gameplay as well as fix bugs.

Major updates are coming to Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on Thursday, October 29th. These updates will contain bug fixes, performance improvements, and more.

The updates will be available worldwide on all available platforms (depending on title) on October 29. The updates are scheduled to roll out in the early morning (PST) on Xbox 360 (BL2/BLTPS) and Xbox One (BLTHC) and by early afternoon (PST) on PlayStation 3 (BL2/BLTPS), PlayStation 4 (BLTHC) and Steam (BL2/BLTPS).

Update highlights per title can be found below:

Borderlands 2

The Borderlands 2 update contains some long-awaited changes including various balance changes and refinements to elemental-based skills (read: Maya buffs), adding The Fastball to Boll's loot pool, making the legendary drop rate improvements permanent, and more.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel update contains mostly bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as making the legendary drop rate improvements permanent.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

The Borderlands: The Handsome Collection update contains all of the above changes to Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, as well as quality-of-life features and bug fixes performance improvements specific to The Handsome Collection. This update also addresses Xbox One specific multiplayer connectivity issues.

Due to the nature of the connectivity issue fixes, the Xbox One update will be a large download.

It's great to see these titles continue to get support from the developers. Hopefully these extensive updates will improve players' experiences even more.
