With rumors continuing to swirl around what to expect for the next installment of the Gears of War franchise on the current-generation of consoles, one new piece of information shows that a familiar face is set to return for the game’s visual and artistic direction.

After previously working with Epic Games on the series, Gears of War cinematics director Greg M. Mitchell revealed through a tweet that he would be leaving Epic Games to join Black Tusk Studio on the next installment of the Gears of War series, capping it off with an entirely appropriate Marcus Fenix-inspired “NICE!”

Mitchell previously started with Epic Games in 2006 as a Digital Cinematographer on the original Gears of War title before working up to the lead Cinematics Director with every subsequent Gears of War title in the series, along with working on several of Epic Games’ other titles such as Infinity Blade.

A new Gears of War title is currently in development by Black Tusk Studios for release on Xbox One.
