Today Compile Heart released a new batch of screenshots of its upcoming JRPG Genkai Tokki Castle Panzers.

The screenshots showcase two new battle styles that players will be able to use in the game.

Gunner Style is a rear guard style that is based mainly on ranged physical attacks. It's possible to attack from range with guns and by summoning a Mon-girl. It's good to cover from behind characters in Venus Style and Knight Style.

Witch Style is another rear guard style based on ranged magical attacks. It can also summon all Mon-girls. While normal attacks don't damage the enemy's HP, they absorb their MP, while fighting is delegated to the Mon-girls. Of the four styles, it's the one with the highest magical attack power, and it's effective on enemies that have high physical resistance.

We also learn about the battles of basics. Turns are played by characters according to the order of action. At the beginning of a turn, each character's AP (Action Points) are charged, and they can be consumed to perform actions like moving or attacking. They can move or attack as many times as they want until the AP gauge is consumed. Interestingly, if you end the turn with AP left, the waiting time for the next turn will be shorter, depending on the quantity of AP saved.

AP consumption for normal attacks differs by style. Venus Style attacks very quickly because each attack consumes less AP. Knight Style attacks with slower, more powerful blows, because each consumes more AP.

AP are also consumed for commands like "Item," "Summon" and "Bombardment."

Item is self-explanatory. Summon lets the character smmon a Mon-girl that will act as an ally, providing attack and recovery powers. They consume MP. Each Mon-Girl has a rank, and the maximum rank each style can summon is different. Witch Style can summon them all, while Knight Style has no summoning power at all.

The Bombardment command triggers an artillery attack from the castle, and consumes the whole MP gauge. It boasts enormous power, and it's effective in destroying large obstacles like castle gates.
