The most unbelievable thing in the new Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City trailer is that regular unleaded sells for $1.15 a gallon. At about 4:30, the Umbrella special ops team hunkers down next to this gas station where, I kid you not, the price for premium is $1.35. By this point in the video (embedded after the jump), the squad has already been ambushed by zombies, dispatched a Licker and shot a cop. So, to sum up: pharmaceutical company hires mercenaries, there are virus-generated zombies, quadripedal inside-out monsters with incredibly long and lethal tongues, and someone shoots a policeman.

And the gas prices are the thing I have the hardest time wrapping my head around.

In fact, Capcom has me so used to seeing these abominations that I actually felt a pang of sentiment for the Licker. Do what you will with that. The trailer itself is more than five minutes of cinematic footage, all contained within a mission by the Umbrella Security Service. But enough of my ranting. You probably just want to watch some bullets fly, huh? Once you check out the trailer, you can take a gander at Scott's impressions of the game when he played at New York Comic Con back in October.
