Nine years after its initial announcement, The Last Guardian, a PlayStation 4 exclusive, has finally solidified a December 6 release date. Today PlayStation released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the game's music, created by composer Takeshi Furuawa -- who worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- with the London Symphony Orchestra.

In the video (posted below) Furuawa said:

"For me the compositional process for The Last Guardian I think was more like sculpting, trying to find the essence of the score, and carving a way or taking away; it's actually a subtractive process. The game is very, very unique, and it's magical. I've been laboring over the score to try to make sure it doesn't pale in comparison to the wonderful visuals. So I hope you enjoy the music as much as I did composing it."

Those excited for the game's soundtrack can pre-order its vinyl release (pictured above) for $35 at iam8bit's website. It'll ship in early 2017.
