11 bit studios has a special way of celebrating its history with both their franchises — like the Anomaly series — and their collaborations with Polish composer Piotr Musial: today they’ve announced that they’re releasing all of the their soundtracks for free, available via their website.

Celebrating the orchestrated music of the Anomaly games, the 70’s funk of Funky Smugglers and the “soothing tunes” of Sleeperwalker’s Journey, the team is inviting fans to come to the 11 bit studios website and download the albums as MP3 or FLAC files. Fans are also encouraged to check out Piotr Musial himself on his own website, with credits that include everything from Bulletstorm to The Witcher. His website also includes Tutorials for all of your composers-to-be, so I’d give that page a look too if music is your passion.

Musial had this to say regarding his work with 11 bit studios:

What I really like about working with 11 bit studios is that they keep feeding me with different musical challenges. The Anomaly series soundtracks, with which we began our collaboration, are orchestral-synth hybrids, full of dynamic moments, wicked electronic sounds, ethnic instruments and big drums. Sleepwalker’s Journey required a completely different kind of music, so a soothing lullaby album with piano, celesta and bells was the fruit of my labor. And of course, if I had to pick the game that I had the most fun scoring, that would be Funky Smugglers. The fact that it resulted in an album with vocals and stuff was a surprise to me, too. I used to be kind of a sworn enemy of vocal music until that moment.

I wish I could say that we are working on an absolutely exciting game now, and that it will again be musically different from their previous games, and that there is a lot for you to be excited about… but you know – professional confidentiality.

Enjoy your music and enjoy the video below for 11 bit studios’ special way of introducing this giveaway!

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
