Get Excite: Persona 4 Anime Has Been Licensed for North America

on September 28, 2011 6:30 PM

If you’re like me and are a huge, gigantic, unashamed fan of Persona 4, you’ll like this news – the anime based on the game, which is premiering in Japan this fall, has already been licensed for release in North America. Sentai Filmworks has stated that a digital release will come first, possibly even before the end of the year, to be followed by DVD and BluRay releases next year. By digital release, I’m not sure if they mean iTunes, Crunchyroll or some combination of services, but I suppose we’ll find out before long. If you’re hardcore, though, I’m sure fan subs will be out before the official release…but you didn’t hear it here.

Persona 4 The Animation is a 25-episode anime series directed by Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!), so get excited now if you’re a fan of the Atlus game, or anime in general…or Risette. Huh? What?!
