Today, Ubisoft announced that the second Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands' expansion -- titled Fallen Ghosts -- is set to launch on May 30th, if you're a Season Pass holder that is.

According to Ubisoft, Fallen Ghosts is a direct continuation of Ghost Recon Wildlands' main story. A description reads:

Following the fall of the Santa Blanca Cartel, the Unidad military force is having a hard time maintaining stability – causing our fictionalized Bolivia to descend into civil war. In a bid to restore order, they issue a call to arms: anyone willing to help rebuild the country is welcome to join. This attracts the attention of rough sorts – disgraced Special Forces squads, ex-cartel members, mercenaries and criminals from right across South America – all after a chance to grab some of the Santa Blanca’s old infrastructure for their own gain.

As such, a new faction is born: “Los Extranjeros” (The Foreigners). Unlike the band Foreigner, Los Extranjeros aren’t particularly interested in finding out What Love Is – these fellows are far more interested in following Unidad’s call to take down any American agents still holed up on Bolivian soil.

With this in mind, the Ghosts are sent on one final mission: pick up the remaining US citizens and get them out of the country. But when their helicopter is shot down en-route, they find themselves stuck in the middle of the jungle without external support, and with the well-equipped and heavily-armed Los Extranjeros closing in. Oh how the tables have turned: the hunters are now the hunted.

Los Extranjeros are said to come in four main types. The first: Armored, who are equipped with heavy bulletproof plates, making them especially dangerous in close combat. The second is Elite Snipers, who have advanced movement detectors and are obviously bad ass snipers. The third is Jammers who have jamming equipment in their backpacks, letting them neutralize drones and interfere with electronic equipment. And the fourth is Covert Ops, who have a new prototype cloaking device that makes them essentially invisible. Plus they wield a crossbow, which is pretty cool on its own.

Fallen Ghosts' 15 mission campaign will see players take down four bosses in three different regions. Areas include jungle and swampland, complete with a retooled weather system to make things "more intense." And just like the main campaign, the whole thing is playable in four player co-op.

Notably, the campaign starts players with a new level 30 character equipped and with all the main game skills. The level cap has also been pushed to 35. There is also nine new unlockables skills (including physical skills), six new weapons, and four new side-activity types, each with an exclusive reward. New difficulty tweaks to Expert and Advanced will also be implemented.

As mentioned above, Fallen Ghosts will be available for Season Pass holders on May 30th, and as an individual purchase ($14.99 USD) on June 6th.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is available for $59.99 USD on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
