Today, Kadokawa Games announced with a press release that its upcoming strategy RPG God Wars: Future Past has been delayed once more in Japan.

The game, directed by Kadokawa Games' own President Yoshimi Yasuda, was supposed to release on April 13th, but will instead launch locally on June 22nd, 2017.

The developer mentioned that in order to address the feedback received after the release of the demo, the team has been working hard to improve quality, and some more time is needed to solve issues arisen during development.

The press release also includes an apology for the extended wait, explaining that the goal is to improve quality so that the game will satisfy its customers.

The game was already delayed once in December, pretty much for the same reason, following an earlier demo.

God Wars: Future Past is supposed to release in North America on March 28th, and in Europe on March 31st, courtesy of NIS America, and for the moment we don't know if the change in the Japanese release schedule will affect the western launch, but it's very likely. We have contacted NIS America seeking a comment, and we'll keep you updated if we hear anything relevant.
