Gone Home for Wii U Has Been Officially Cancelled

on December 7, 2015 9:49 PM

While Steve Gaynor’s Gone Home: Console Edition has been re-announced for PlayStation and Xbox, Nintendo’s home console seems to be getting the shaft. Originally, Gone Home was coming to all three platforms thanks to the development efforts of Midnight City. However, after Midnight City’s closure, all console ports were placed on an indefinite hold.

Following today’s announcement, hopeful Wii U owners had questions about when they may see a port. Unfortunately, Steve Gaynor had some unfortunate news:

Gone Home: Console Edition will be arriving on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with upgraded graphics and developer commentary, on January 12, 2016.
