Reputed anime studio Gonzo is creating an anime film based on Sega and Platinum Games' celebrated action masterpiece Bayonetta. The film is dubbed Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, and it will begin airing in Japanese theaters from November 23rd. In the video game Bayonetta had no Japanese voice actor, but in the anime movie she'll be voiced by the reputed Atsuko Tanaka, who has lent her talents to big name anime like Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, and several more.

An official website for the film has been launched, and it contains the full list of Japanese theaters that will be screening Bayonetta: Bloody Fate. A first trailer for the film has been released, and you can view it in full below. While Bloody Fate may never make it to theaters outside of Japan, let's hope that the west eventually gets a shot at this movie in one format or another.

Update: We've added some new screens of the film, which you can view beneath the trailer.
