Free Lives and Devolver Digital’s gory VR gladiator simulator GORN made it way to Steam Early Access today, so the developers released a launch trailer that is both action-packed and funny as it splices gameplay with someone completely decimating their room while playing GORN.
The game’s developers describe GORN as a “ludicrously violent” game that features a unique physics driven combat engine that allows players to kill their enemies in creative ways. Players can use a wide variety of weapons, including swords, maces, bows, nunchucks, throwing knives, and massive warhammers to kill their enemies, though players do have the option to just use their hands to fight if they desire.
On the game’s Steam page, the developers revealed that they decided to go with Early Access because it helped them out immensely with Broforce, one of their previous games, and they want the community to help make GORN the best game that it can be. They gave quite a wide window for how long the game will stay in Early Access, saying it could be in the program anywhere from three months to a year. This is because they plan on constantly adding and changing some of the game’s features depending on its reception and how many people are playing it.
You can watch the trailer below. GORN is now available on HTC Vive through Steam Early Access, and is currently discounted to $14.99 to celebrate its Early Access launch week.
