Today, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Polyphony Digital announced that its long-awaited and highly-anticipated Gran Turismo Sport will race its way to the PS4 on October 17th in North America, and a day later on October 18th in Europe.

In addition to revealing the release dates (the release window before this was simply fall 2017) for the game, Sony and Polyphony Digital have also revealed and detailed the game's Limited and Deluxe Editions.

That's right, if a regular ol' Standard Edition just doesn't cut it for ya, you will have the option to upgrade to a Limited Edition for $69.99 MSRP. It comes with the following: the GT Sport Starter Pack (8 Cars), $1MM In-Game Credit, a Livery Sticker Pack, 30 GT Sport Themed Avatars, a Chrome Racing Helmet (For Driver Profile), and a Limited Steel Book & Packaging.

If this isn't enough to satiate you then you may want to check out the game's Deluxe Edition (79.99 USD MSRP). It comes packed with: GT Sport Starter Pack (12 Cars), $2MM In-Game Credit, a Livery Sticker Pack, 60 GT Sport Themed Avatars, a Chrome Racing Helmet (For Driver Profile), and Limited Steel Book & Packaging.

There's also said to be a Collector's Edition, a Steel Book Edition, a Day 1 Edition, and a Digital Deluxe Edition, but details on these versions are not provided.

But wait there's more. The pair also revealed -- for all you retail junkies out there -- the game's box art:

According to Kazunori Yamauchi President of Polyphony Digital, Creator of Gran Turismo, the game is now entering the final stages of polishing as the team prepares for launch. Between now and said launch you can expect to hear much more about the game (obviously), including information about its campaign mode, various creative tools, as well as a full reveal on all the cars available at launch.

Kazunori Yamauchi continues:

"In the meantime, I’d like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and PDI to express my gratitude for the continued support of GT fans and PlayStation supporters around the world during this beta period. We’re as keen as all of you to get the game into players’ hands, and can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks of the game when it launches in October.

We’ve strived to create something that delivers an unprecedented experience in terms of the graphics, sound, and physics simulation; an experience that can only be enjoyed on PlayStation."

Gran Turismo Sport is available to pre-order now from the PlayStation Store and via a variety of retailers. Below, you can check out a new trailer which accompanied today's announcement:
