Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Update Issues on Steam Appear; Save File Problems Reported

In celebration of the landmark title’s tenth anniversary this year, Rockstar Games recently-released a new and updated edition of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to include updated resolutions and other added features – recently though, some issues have appeared in a new update to the title on Steam.

Reports detail that a new update for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which was done to remove several songs due to the expiration of some music licenses, has also had the side effects of several issues appearing on the Steam version of the title.

In particular, these issues appear to be affecting the game’s save files, with the new update apparently wiping out/nullifying updates from the previous version of the game: even clicking “Load” on a previous save will start over a new game. The new update also removes several resolution options, including 1920×1080, though also adds in support for Xbox 360 controllers.

The updated edition of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is available now on Xbox 360 and PC.
