GT Academy, a program that helps promising young gamers segway into a real career in motor sports through the long running Gran Turismo series, is starting up their 2013 competition. Qualifications start on July 2nd and end July 28th.

In order to qualify, competition hopefuls must download the Gran Turismo 6 PS3 demo and race for the best qualifying times to advance to National Finals. From there they will complete in the Silverstone race camp to determine a winner from each country. The demo will still be available to play until August 31st and is open to all gamers, even those who do not wish to enter the competition. And anyone that registers and submits a qualifying time will receive bonus content for free. You can read more about the GT Academy and competition on the Playstation Blog.
