Arguably one of the biggest aspects of Grand Theft Auto V was the single-player campaign's epic heists: a series of missions where players were tasked with organizing, carrying out, and successfully escaping from big crime missions that were some of the most fun in the entire game.

Rockstar Games initially planned to introduce Heists into the game's multiplayer component, Grand Theft Auto Online, but has confirmed that the new Heist missions for Online will be missing their intended release this spring. With the Heists taking a longer development period than originally planned, Rockstar Games confirmed that the new Online Heists will not be releasing this spring as intended, but that the developer plans to release them as soon as they can. Specifically, Rockstar mentioned:

"For those of you asking about other upcoming GTA Online updates, we have lots more in store coming your way soon. We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support. Stay tuned for more information on that as well as lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of GTA Online that are on the way."

Grand Theft Auto V is currently available on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will be arriving on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later in 2014.
