Gundam Battle Operation NEXT on PS4: Check Out How it Looks in 222 1080p Screenshots

Today Bandai Namco released Gundam Battle Operation NEXT for PS4 and PS3 in Japan. If you’re used to World of Warships or World of Tanks, the concept is somewhat similar, even if the free to play business model is a bit different, relying more on the “energy” concept.  And of course, it has mobile suits from the Gundam series.

If you want to check out how the game looks on PS4 before you go through the hoops to grab it from the Japanese PlayStation Store (it will require a local PSN account), we snapped a whopping 222 screenshots for your perusual.

The game doesn’t have cutting edge graphics, but I found it quite a lot of fun, especially due to the ballistics of weapons that require you to give the right lead when shooting, and to the fast-paced action.

You’ll also be happy to hear that there’s no region lock in place, but you’ll have to be logged in with your Japanese PSN account. The game launches with a North American or European account, but you can only access the training mode and matchmaking will fail. Luckily, this is not really an obstacle, as playing on a Japanese account works perfectly.

It’s definitely a game to keep in mind if you love Gundam, and it really doesn’t require you to understand Japanese in order to enjoy it. Just remember that X and circle are swapped, so you’ll use circle to confirm and X to cancel.

And now, without further ado, I leave you with the screenshots.
