343 Industries shared in a separate blog post from the December update that new advanced controller settings would also be coming to Halo 5: Guardians.

First the look acceleration determines how fast you turn, and is currently at a default value of 3, faster than previous Halo games and the Halo 5 multiplayer beta. If you prefer to crank it back down, 343i suggests setting it to 2 when the option is implemented. For those who want to do a much quicker 180 degree turn, you are now free to turn the setting up to a maximum of 10.

The inner dead zone option allows players to further tweak their look options, as it will determine when the controller registers camera movement from the analog stick. The lower the percentage in this option, the quicker your analog stick movement will be recognized. However, not all analog sticks return to the center due to wear and tear, so experiment to ensure the best performance.

Lastly, the outer dead zone determines you when you have received maximum look speed and prevents what is known as "slow turn." As with the inner dead zone, this is something that will be a player by player change depending on your analog stick and personal preference.

This update will not change any current defaults, and so long as you refrain from touching them the game will control the same way, however for those desiring a much more customized control scheme, have at it.
