Microsoft laid on the Halo news thick at their Gamescom presentation today. The company revealed that Halo 5: Guardians will have a multiplayer beta starting on December 29th, which will kick off for three weeks. Beta progress will carry over to the actual game, which is excellent.

After that, we see a bit more gameplay of Halo: Master Collection. It was stated that there will be a skill-based ranking system with identical leveling to Halo 2.

Finally, Microsoft announced a Halo Channel for Xbox One, which will feature interviews, organized online multiplayer lobbies, the live-action series Halo: Nightfall and plenty more Halo goodness. You can watch the videos, which covers everything, just below.
