Halo World Championship Removes Breakout, Community Poll for Breakout Playlist Ongoing

on January 30, 2016 1:37 PM

Due to feedback from the community of Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries has decided to remove the Breakout playlist from the Halo World Championship going forward.

Through community conversations and recent feedback from competitors, we’ve heard that the majority of our esports community would prefer that Breakout not be included in the remaining stages of the Halo World Championship, and we feel it’s most important to create an experience that our players love playing, our fans love watching, and that will provide the greatest platform for the future of Halo esports.

The developer also published a community poll for players to vote on which community maps will be added to the Breakout playlist in Halo 5: Guardians, with a “Yes” or “No” option for ten maps. The poll runs through Sunday, January 31, 2016 and you can cast your vote in their blog post.
