Microsoft just announced that Halo-born AI Cortana will run on Windows 10.

The “personal assistant” will run on every Windows 10 device, “she”will learn about you and she will be able to respond questions and let you control your device with voice.

Cortana will also include an advanced auto-complete feature that will predict where you want to go when you type something in your Start menu.

Funnily, you can also ask her to “be quiet” and pause her features.

Incidentally, whether you’re currently running on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you’ll get an upgrade to Windows 10 for free for the first year, as the operating system will shift to a service.

The Windows 10 keynote is ongoing, and we’ll keep you updated on all the gaming-related announcements Microsoft will make.
