on October 19, 2009 5:04 PM

This morning it was announced that the first downloadable DLC album for The Beatles: Rock Band, “Abbey Road” will be released this week. In honor of its release, DualShockers was invited to the MTV headquarters here in New York City to test ride the new tracks. With Al on Vocals, Brendan on Guitar, and Myself on drums we rocked our way through a couple of tracks from the upcoming track pack. The biggest highlight from the upcoming DLC for The Beatles: Rock Band has to be without a doubt a 15 minute B-Side medley which blends all of the tracks found on the “Abbey Road” album into one long track! There are extra little bonuses and additions as well such as added dreamscapes and audio clippings from their original masters and studio sessions. Another bonus (for those looking for more of a challenge) will defiinitley find it in this DLC pack. Another “unnoficial” feature is that the exclusive B-Side medley can basically be turned into a CD for listening, all you have to do is only use vocals and turn on No-Fail mode, and voila instant Beatles medley exclusiveness. You didn’t hear that from us!

After busting out the Beatles, we also managed to get some hands-on time with the upcoming Queen DLC, which also has us very excited. We played classics like, “I  Want it All”, “Under Pressure” and everyones favorite “Fat Bottomed Girl.” Unfortunately, “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions” will not be a part of this pack as both songs will be unlockable tracks in the upcoming Lego Rock Band. This makes us sad, but also just another reason to pick up Lego Rock Band.

The Beatles: Rock Band Abbey Road DLC and Queen DLC will be available this week, so if you had plans to get things done this weekend, think again! Both will be be just  a little over $16 bucks ( with the usual $1.99 for individual tracks). So get ready to get rocking.
