Harvest Moon Producer Says Story is a Big Focus This Time Around

As the Nintendo 3DS nears its first birthday, it’s already seen quite a few titles that are mainstays for any new console, from Zelda to Mario Kart. You can count Harvest Moon among those franchises this year, at least in Japan. Series producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto says the newest title, known as Hajimari no Daichi (which roughly translates to Land of the Beginning), will release in that region with a new emphasis on the story.

I hope that official art we’ve got for you doesn’t get your hopes up. It’s just Harvest Moon illustrator Igusa Matsuyama’s way of helping you ring in the Year of the Dragon. Hashimoto assures you that Harvest Moon will not have pest problems akin to those of Skyrim.
