Harvest Moon: The Land of Origin Is Coming for 3DS Owners

While the current crazy is Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns, which is hitting both the DS and the 3DS, Marvelous Entertainment has let loose that they are indeed working on another 3DS entry in the franchise, Harvest Moon: The Land of Origin. While this is certainly a Harvest Moon title through and through, there are some new features added.

Not only can you choose your gender, hook up with someone else and grow a family (of people or plants), you will also be able to design the inside of your house to appear as you please. Is this akin to housing in MMOs? I think so, and I like. You’ll also be able to customize your male or female character itself to a greater degree, changing hair and eye color, skin tones and all sorts of stuff. The game is looking at a release in Japan in the early part of 2012, but it’s a good bet we’ll see it here eventually, as well. Hit the break to get a peek at the first few screens.
