Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend hits retail shelves in Japan on November 10th, but keep in mind, this is a PSP game, and with the Vita coming down the line on December 17th, that may cause a problem. Have no fear, Sega is coming to the rescue on that front. The vocaloid game will be available via PSN download starting December 15th, so those of you planning to pick up a Vita (whether in Japan or importing one to the West) will be able to purchase it for slightly cheaper than retail from the PlayStation Store.

Also announced was a pre-order bonus soundtrack that will likely come with only the retail version called "Vocaloid Extend Remixes". It comes with seven remixed tracks that Sega fans especially will likely enjoy. Some of the tracks that are sung by Hatsune and her friends are from Valkyria Chronicles 3, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity, Sonic Adventure 2 and Virtual On. The remaining tracks are from the Project Diva series itself. Unfortunately, this game will never show up outside of Japan, but let's hope when the Vita releases in the West it will have an easy way to switch PSN IDs like the PS3 and we can then "import" it right from the Japanese PlayStation Store.
