Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has given its many, many players trading card frenzy, and luckily in the next expansion to the popular free-to-play card game, there will be more than enough new cards to get the job done.
Following this year’s release of the Curse of Naxxramas single-player expansion that was released episodically, Blizzard’s production director Jason Chayes spoke in an interview that the next upcoming expansion for Hearthstone will add more than 100 new cards to the game.
In addition, Chayes also mentioned that the content for the next expansion will also roll out in waves as opposed to simultaneously, in order to make sure that the new content will be accessible to newcomers and to solidify the game’s rather fast pace. Specifically, Chayes detailed:
“One of the things that we spend a lot of time talking about is pacing. Not just the pacing of the game as it is, but pacing of the rollout of new content. We really want to make sure the pacing is great not just for seasoned Hearthstone players but for new players coming into the game too.”
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is currently available on PC, Mac, iPad, and Windows 8 Touch, with releases for iPhone and Android coming later in 2014.
