The founder of Quantic Dreams, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, David Cage will be honored with France's Legion d'honneur (Legion of Honor) award. This award is the equivalent of being knighted in England.

Only 74,384 people have been inducted into this order and some include: Jacques Cousteau, Marcel Marceau and Alexis de Tocqueville. The order was founded in 1802 by none other than Napoleon Bonaparte. The award goes to those who have had 25 years of professional activity or 20 years of public service.

David Cage is the first video game developer to received this award and he will be given the rank of chevalier (knight). He will be presented the Legion d'honneur by French minister Fleur Pellerin on March 13th.
