The story behind Heavy Rain has to deal with a person who is referred to as the "Origami Killer".  Naturally, that art form is referenced a lot in the game, including on the box art of all versions (some displayed more prominently than others, of course).  Quantic Dream did something pretty nifty with the game - they teach you how to make an origami bird.  When do they have time for that, you ask?  While you're sitting through the lengthy initial install.

That's right, Heavy Rain has a 4.2 GB install that you'll be forced to sit through before you can start playing the game.  You remember when you could just pop a game in your preferred system, boot it up and get right into the action?  Oh, right, it's called an Xbox 360.  My bad.

Sony jabs aside, I might not mind sitting through the install so much this time around, even though I'm not a fan of requiring such a process.  We'll all become expert origami bird makers!  Heavy Rain hits shelves in North America on February 23 and in Europe on the 26th.  Look for a demo in the PSN update on February 11 if you want to get a taste of things to come.
