Help Finish the Final Level of Child of Eden with The Journey Project

Today Ubisoft announced a cool little project in conjunction with their up-and-coming title Child of Eden, by Rez developer Q? Entertainment. It’s called “The Journey Project”, and it is designed to get user-generated content into the game by helping to complete the final level. What are they looking for? They want your favorite memories of Earth. That is a very general subject, but perhaps that is the point, because everything around us, from a smiling baby to a vast landscape could remind us of our planet.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi, founder of Q? Entertainment, and the Creative Director for Child of Eden, said about the project:

“The theme of Child of Eden is ‘Hope and Happiness’ and I want players to experience happy feelings every time they play the game. I need your help to convey these positive emotions, so please send us pictures that give you good vibes so we can include them in the ending of the game.”

Apparently all images that are ultimately approved by Ubisoft and Q? Entertainment will be featured in the final level of Child of Eden. I’ve been a proponent of this game since it was first shown off at E3 earlier in the summer, this just adds an extra level of interest to it for me.

You can head over to the official Child of Eden site for more details and to enter. The deadline for submissions is November 20, 2010, so those who want to get creative and toss them some things about Earth that provides good memories for you have a while yet. So get to it!
