Here's the Debut Trailer for Two Worlds II

SouthPeak just sent over this debut trailer for their upcoming Western RPG Two Worlds II, developed by Reality Pump. I never played the original Two Worlds, but from what I hear, it was pretty horrible, although I’m sure it has rabid fanboys just like anything else. Everything I hear about the sequel, however, is far from horrible. I’ve been hearing pretty positive things from nearly everywhere.

In the press release that came with the trailer, SouthPeak takes a shot at none other than the king of open-world fantasy RPGs, Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Notice this part, which contains a quote from SouthPeak’s VP of Marketing, Richard Iggo, explaining why you should pre-order Two Worlds II from GameStop:

“For a while, we considered offering horse armor or something painted gold. However, we became worried that people would be overwhelmed with excitement. So with the welfare of the gaming world weighing heavily on our minds, we chose a badass weapon and in-game area instead,” said Richard Iggo, VP of Marketing at SouthPeak, who often attends ren fairs wearing a codpiece with studs on the inside. “These things actually affect your game experience with stats, abilities and quest experiences that you’ll find useful and dare I say it – sexy. After all, what’s better than 60 slashing damage, 110 lightning damage, 85 poison damage and an increase to all resistance skills? Not much I say!”

SouthPeak is going all Atlus on us, and that makes them cool in my book! Check out the trailer below. Two Worlds II will be coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in September.
