Today Amazon announced its new set top box slash gaming console Fire TV, and they just released two trailers giving a glimpse on what the video game offering looks like.

The first trailer, that you can see below together with a gallery of screenshots, showcases Sev Zero, the first game exclusive to the Fire TV, developed by the recently acquired Double Helix Games.

The game is described as a fast action-shooter mixed with a tower defense game, and is compatible with the Kindle Fire, which can run a companion app named Sev Zero: Air Support (showcased in the second gallery) that does exactly what is says on the tin, creating a rather interesting multiplayer/multi-screen experience.

Sev Zero is already available for $6.99 or for free with the purchase of an Amazon Fire Game Controller.

The second video gives a glimpse on more games in development "from the ground up for Kindle Fire tablets and Fire TV" at the Amazon Game Studios.
