Here’s the Xbox One’s “Green Screen of Death” Caught on Video

As expected, The Xbox One is not a magical device with no failure rate, and many reports are starting to surface about the “green screen of death,” a bit of an overly dramatic name for a freeze happening at the initial loading screen that prevents the user to enjoy the console any further.

If you follow this site you probably know YouTuber RajmanGaming HD, since he provides quite a few gameplay videos we publish. He was one of the first to show Assassin’s Creed IV on PS4 and more. Unfortunately he hasn’t been so lucky with the Xbox One, and got exactly issue described.

Of course he caught it on video, and you can check it out below. According to Rajman, he left the console on with the frozen screen for up to 30 minutes, and there’s no progress.

Just keep in mind that it’s normal for new hardware to have issues, and this isn’t any evidence that the Xbox One has a relevant percentage of bad units out in the wild. It’s more of a testament of the simple fact that issues happen to all camps, so maybe it’s a good idea to take things with some moderation instead of pointing fingers and laughing.
