Heroes of Ruin, Square Enix’s upcoming DIY adventure game, has a new trailer showcasing storyline gameplay and environment footage.

Mercenaries unite in the city of Nexus to find a cure for its ruler’s curse. Players can send their heroes to venture out alone or form an alliance amongst themselves. Heroes of Ruin also makes use of StreetPass and SpotPass, allowing seamless drop-in/drop-out multiplayer co-op. With constantly changing environments, dynamic monster-populated environments, and shifting routes and layouts, the game promises new experiences each time you turn on your system.

Heroes of Ruin, “custom-built” for the Nintendo 3DS, is slated for release sometime this spring. Check out the latest trailer after the cut.
