Hideo Kojima Reveals Kojima Productions’ Spectacular “Logo Movie” Starring Ludens

During a livestreamed interview from San Diego Comic Con, legendary Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima introduced a brief video which he called a “Logo Movie,” showcasing  Kojima Productions’ mascot character Ludens.

The video was created by Kojima Productions starting after E3, and looks quite lovely. Originally the intention was to have it displayed before the teaser at E3, but that didn’t happen.

Check it out below, keeping in mind that Kojima-san confirmed once more that the mascot will not be in his upcoming game Death Stranding.

The idea behind the video is showing a place where no one has ever been to.  When Ludens turns on his helmet’s switch you notice that he is on a different planet. You can also see the flag and the huge whale, that has an effect that intentionally makes it difficult to understand if it’s real or digital.

The whale is trying to play around Ludens, and that communicates the idea of bringing the fun and “play.” Yet, Kojima-san mentioned that it gets “really boring” if you try to actually explain it.
